I will begin by asking you one very important question:

Don’t worry if you aren’t sure because I always follow my first question with five equally important questions.

• WHAT do you want to say?
• WHO do you want to say it to?
• WHY do you want to say it?
• HOW do you want to say it?
• WHEN do you plan to say it?

These questions help me to understand what you hope to achieve. They also help me to help you decide whether you need a freelance writer, freelance editor or freelance proofreader and any additional project partners.

Armed with this information I will put together a quote for your consideration. It will confirm what you’ve asked me to do; I’ll estimate how long it will take me and include my fee and my terms.

I’ll start copywriting, editing or proofreading as soon as possible after I receive your approval to proceed. I’ll ask some further questions before I start if I need to (we can do this face-to-face, by email or over the telephone, whichever is easiest for you).
